Spotted! Lamborghini Diablo, Zurich, Switzerland

This shows the Diablo in it’s purest form. No sprouting wings or vents, no “machine guns”, just a simple wedged shape cutting its way through the real world. Time seems to stop as it passes, transactions put on hold, arguments cut short, customers kept waiting all just to have a moment to take it in. It is a short escape, a fantasy that imposes itself upon every onlooker; this is the very essence of a Lamborghini.

Pagani Zonda: The last surviving member of a glorious age

Pagani Zonda 760RS

There have been two videos in the past few days about Pagani. One was JF Musial’s visit to the Pagani Factory for his segment on the Drive network, and the other was EVO Magazine’s video of the Zonda 760RS. The Drive video was more like a documentary and featured an interview with Horacio Pagani himself, offering a lot of valuable insight into Pagani Automobili, their values, and their history. Evo’s video was more targeted toward the Zonda 760RS specifically. It was one of the typical, somewhat quirky, Harry Metcalfe videos that fans have come to know and love. But Harry did a fantastic job of showing us what the 760RS is all about, and he made sure we could hear the car’s glorious soundtrack. The mix of these videos started me thinking about the Zonda specifically, and its significance in the world of cars.   Read the rest of this entry »

For The Love of Lamborghinis!

LP640-4

Given the title of this post, I hope you guys are expecting to see some shots of beautiful specimens of the Raging Bulls.  All these pictures that you are about to see were taken by me at Le Belle Macchine d’Italia.  Le Belle Macchine took place in the Pocono Mountains from the 24th of June to the 27th.  It is considered to be the largest Italian car show in the US and this year got a bump from 3 days to 4 days.  Friday and Saturday was the Concorso d’Eleganza held at Mt. Airy Resort and Casino, and Sunday and Monday were the 2 days that cars were able to show off their power at Pocono International Raceway, where they were kinda enough to open up the road circuit part in the infield.  For more information, here is their website.  If you are interested in attending one, they have 2012′s scheduled for the Poconos, and they also have one in the fall in Daytona! http://www.italiancarevents.com/

First up, we have a beautiful, black Murcielago LP640-4.  The first shot is of it at the Concorso and the second is of it pulling out of the parking lot at the Concorso.     Read the rest of this entry »
