Wait I thought this said “Supercar Show?” Yea well, that did happen too, but we got a bit sucked into the autocross part of the event in our own cars. The weather was VERY borderline, but the rain never quite hit until the afternoon. That kept a lot of people away from the show, and … Continue reading Highlights from the 2018 CF Charities Supercar Show→
This is one of only three Saleen S7 Twin Turbos in existence equipped with the Competition Package. The boost has been turned up over the standard turbocharged S7, to the tune of 1,000hp over “just” 750hp. Supposedly, it’s capable of 248 mph (as seen on the license plate), though I doubt that’d be done with … Continue reading Saleen S7 Twin Turbo Competition at CF Charities→
This is the new Spyker C8 Preliator Spyder, and I think it is a breath of fresh air in the supercar world. At a time when Ferraris and Lamborghinis seem more and more mass market, here is a genuinely unique supercar that takes a different, more classic, and ultra “special” approach. Today the mainstream carmakers … Continue reading Spyker C8 Preliator Spyder at the CF Charities Supercar Show→
We attended the CF Charities Supercar Show at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia this weekend. This was the first year for the event in Philly, and we liked the new venue a lot. There were some truly incredible cars, and there’s a lot more to come, but here are some highlights for starters. Enjoy!
We saw Ferrari’s ultimate front-engined V12 supercar, the F12 TDF, at the CF Charities Supercar Show. One of just 799 built, Ferrari took their plush F12 grand tourer and turned it into a batshit crazy race car for the road, complete with a 780hp naturally aspirated V12. Let us cherish this moment because this sort of … Continue reading Ferrari F12 TDF at CF Charities→
Sometimes, old American cars creep into a supercar show. Sometimes, one of them is a Cotillion White Cadillac Eldorado with massive whitewalls, color-key hubcaps, and a vinyl roof. Other times, it’s an old Delta 88, or maybe a Mercury Custom. This time, it was all three of those classy rides, plus a prewar Ford Model A to round out things before we hit the healthy array of supercars steps behind the other riff-raff. Enjoy the photos of these American machines. Continue reading Classic American Iron at the CF Charities Supercar Show→
//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js Compact cars were new in the 1960s, but hot rodding had been around for at least a few generations. Of course, once people figured out how light the compact car they owned was, it was only a matter of time before they got rid of whatever economy engine was occupying the valuble real estate … Continue reading Pro Street Chevy Nova at the CF Charities Show, 2016→
A bright sunny day and a red Ferrari roadster, it’s the stuff dreams are made of. The 550 Barchetta is quite a hot item right now, along with most stick-shift Ferraris at this point. Barchettas are very rare too, with just 448 of them built, so it’s always awesome to see one in person. -Nick
We caught the current Team Salamone bull at the CF Charities Supercar Show, a Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster with a chrome finish. It takes flash to a whole new level!
We’ve seen a bunch of Porsche 918 Spyders around, but none have been in this striking white until now. It shows off the curves of the car quite nicely and definitely adds to the car’s jaw-dropping appeal. The 918 Spyder remains my favorite of the hybrid hypercar trio. Now, having seen it in this white, … Continue reading White Porsche 918 Spyder at the CF Charities Supercar Show→
