Team Salamone’s Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster with Chrome / Purple TRON Wrap

IMG_7847

We are huge fans of Team Salamone, and we always love photographing their car because it’s one of the wildest Lambos around. Here it is at Cars and Caffe last year. The chrome and purple color scheme was some serious next level stuff. Very different from the typical Lambo fruit salad look. We love it!

Porsche 911 R vs 991.2 GT3 Manual: Which is best?

Ferrari F12 next to a Prius in Greenwich, CT

IMG_3015

Like Yin and Yang in perfect harmony, the fast and ostentatious Ferrari F12 sat side by side with the slow and humble Toyota Prius. Two very different lifestyles met to attend the same festival of Automobillia, the Greenwich Concours.

It’s a lovely place.

Baby Blue Porsche 991 GT3 RS at Cars and Caffe

The 991 GT3 RS is one hell of a track machine, and this is one of my favorite colors I’ve ever seen one in. Classic Porsche style.

Black Widow Spec Lamborghini Huaracan Spyder at Concorso Ferrari

IMG_3769

Black and red is one of my favorite color combos, especially on a ferocious car like a Lamborghini. It just looks dangerous and intimidating, like nature’s warning to stay away in many species of venomous animals. It’s badass, especially on a Huracan “Spyder.”

Ferrari 488 and Alfa Giulia QV spotted in West Hartford, CT

IMG_4041

Here’s a nice combo spot. Both are Italian, both are white, and both are turbocharged monstrosities. The 488, in particular, was quite loud, definitely modified. This is why we sat outside for lunch and it paid off.

The Other Purple Lamborghini at Concorso Ferrari

IMG_3851

Lamborghinis really should be purple. We featured the purple Diablo at Concorso Ferrari a few weeks back, and now we bring you the other purple Lambo at the show, this Huracan LP580-2.

It has a screaming V10 engine with 572hp to propel it’s relatively scant 3,062 lb mass, and with power sent only to the rear wheels it’s an extra handful over its AWD sibling. All that, and it’s dressed in a bright purple middle finger to everything mainstream society holds dear. I can’t get enough of this thing!

A very rare manual Ferrari 575M in Verde Zeltweg at Concorso Ferrari

IMG_3745

This extremely rare example of a Ferrari 575M was one of my highlights from Concorso Ferrari this year. Dressed in Verde Zeltweg (dark green) over a rich tan interior it is a very unconventional spec for a Ferrari. It also happens to have a stick shift instead of flappy paddles, a major win as things have turned out in terms of value.

I’m a huge fan of uncommon color combinations on Ferraris, especially on the front engine GT cars. The classier, more understated look suits the continent-crossers very well, and the richness of this 575M’s specification was incredible.

This is pretty close to ideal. Enjoy.

Blue Carbon Bugatti Chiron at the Greenwich Concours

IMG_3238

The Bugatti Chiron is a beautiful machine, and this blue carbon over red leather example is up there with the best of them. Every time I see a Chiron, I’m always amazed how much they were able to improve on the Veyron in terms of the fine detail work throughout the car. The Chiron is truly a work of art in addition to being (probably) the fastest production car on the planet.

Enjoy!
