We love the Scarsdale Concours because it has a much more relaxed vibe than most other Concours events and while it’s not huge in size, the cars are always top notch. This year did not disappoint. We’ll let the gallery do the rest of the talking.

This is one of those unicorns you just don’t see. It’s a Gemballa Mirage GT, a heavily modified Porsche Carrera GT of which only 25 exist worldwide. This was my second time seeing this car, but the first time I was able to get any photos of it. It’s absolutely incredible.
Once the owner left I saw it fly by on the highway, 670hp V10 at full chat, and it sounded like a LeMans prototype. It’s awesome to see this car in a car show, but it was really unbelievable to see it screaming past normal traffic. It really made my day!

A few weeks ago I was able to make up for lost time by attending the first of two fall Caffeine and Carburetors events in New Canaan, CT. This one, held on the main drag, was not as heavily-populated as some have been in the past, but as it was my first time, I was still very happy to have come up. These are some of my favorite shots of the day and I hope to attend more of these down the road. The next one will be in October, likely late in the month, and will serve as the season finale. This was cool! A genuine imported Porsche 993 Carrera RS on public roads in the USA. This was the immediate predecessor to what we know as the modern 911 GT3, which began with the 996.

This thing is so classic! White / Blue is my personal favorite color combo on the Carrera RS. For those unfamiliar, the modern GT3 and GT3 RS can draw their model lineage all the way back to the car you see here, the 1973 911 Carrera RS. It was the top dog 911 at the time, and its grand children remain the driver’s choice among 911s today.
This is a real Holy Grail kind of car, right here, and it’s always a privilege to see one in person. More details and photos below. Enjoy!
