This was the first Radwood event on the east coast, and it was surely one of my favorite events of this year. Radwood is a car-based celebration of 1980s and 90s culture and the stuff that showed up was extremely interesting. I’ll let the highlights do the rest of the talking for now. There’s much more to come. Enjoy!

When I was a kid, my friend’s dad gave me a lift home in his brand new 1999 BMW 740iL. I was blown away by how nice it was to just sit in even as a nine year old. Since then I’ve wanted a BMW 7-Series from this generation. Here, Doug Demuro walks us through the highest end version of the era–the 750iL V12 with the M Sport package. Enjoy the video.

Vice takes an inside look at the exotic rental car business in Miami.
If you’ve been following this site for a while, you may be aware of my unrepentant love for cars of the Disco Era and my strange obsession with the Seventies Cadillac Eldorado. Doug DeMuro, who has a reputation for also liking unusual cars, takes this 1977 model out for a drive and shows us what he thinks of it–but also shows us why this was such a popular luxury car of the era.

Back in 1987, Buick took their already-strong Grand National and turned 547 of them into the evil, Devil worshipping monster known as the GNX. MotorWeek tested one out and it’s clear that even then, it was special. Today, a good one can clear $75,000 and it’s easy to see why.

This is some serious next-level stuff!
This has to be one of the most fascinating conversations I’ve heard in a long time. Anyone interested in cars, space, weapons, technology, the future, artificial intelligence, or business should really take the time to listen to this whole interview.
Yes, they spend one single minute out of 2.5 hours smoking a joint, and that has taken all of the headlines, but anyone reporting like that is simplistic and stupid and has completely missed the value of this conversation. (Plus it’s 2018 and if you’re still worried about the evils of people smoking pot you really need to find a new hobby.)
Seriously, you should watch/listen to this.
We had the pleasure of seeing this car and having a nice chat with the Amiral a few years back at Radnor Hunt. It’s a very unique and striking Ferrari with some unbelievable stories.
