Some Highlights From the CF Charities Supercar Show in Philadelphia

Lamborghini Aventador

We attended the CF Charities Supercar Show at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia this weekend. This was the first year for the event in Philly, and we liked the new venue a lot. There were some truly incredible cars, and there’s a lot more to come, but here are some highlights for starters.

Enjoy!

Lotus 340R at the Greenwich Concours

Lotus 340R at Greenwich

The 340R is what happens when Lotus decides to make a limited edition hardcore track day toy. Only 340 were produced in the early 2000s, making this a very special sight.

(Oh yea, and how about that Porsche 918 in the background there?)

Bugattis In The Rain

Bugattis In The Rain 2

For the last 3 or 4 years, it has absolutely poured rain on the Sunday of the Greenwich Concours. This year kept that tradition alive, but I always stay out there, getting soaked, so I can shoot these priceless cars in the wet. Cars worth hundreds of thousands, or millions, of dollars are seldom taken out in wet weather, so it is an opportunity to snap some unique photos.

Bugatti was the featured marque this year, so I decided it was fitting to feature them as they were… all wet.

Enjoy!

Check out the incredible spec on this Rolls Royce Dawn

Rolls Royce Dawn at Miller Motorcars

After the Concours on Saturday, we spent the evening walking around Greenwich having some cigars, getting dinner and some coffee. We made our way over the check out Miller Motorcars’ strip of insane highest-of-high-end dealerships. When we reached the Rolls Royce dealer, this Dawn with an unbelievable spec was lit up in the showroom.

It’s looks black in the photo, but it was actually dark midnight blue, and yes that is an orange leather interior with a matching pinstripe. I couldn’t get enough of it, and I hope I didn’t leave too much drool on the window.

Stay tuned for more of our fantastic weekend at Greenwich to come!

Mégane II Renault Sport Spotted in Nashville, Tennessee

Megane II Renault Sport Tennessee 2

On this week’s episode of “Things That Shouldn’t Be Here,” we have a very hot, very yellow Renault. This French hot hatch was never sold here in the US, but there it was, staring me in the the face deep in the American South. I had to do a double take.

Now, to be fair, it was parked outside the Lane Motor Museum, where they have all sorts of interesting cars, so it wasn’t entirely unexpected. It was cool to see that it had a Tennessee plate on it though, and it surely gets driven around on local roads.

It’s always awesome to see cars we don’t get here out and about on our roads.

Enjoy!

1969 M-Code Plymouth Road Runner at Lime Rock

1969 M Code 4 Speed Road Runner Front

We’ve featured a few of the famous “M-Code” Plymouth Road Runners here at MoM in the past, but it never gets old for me. Plymouth was usually rather subtle when it came to putting big block V8s in their muscle cars for some time. They would put a small “426 Hemi” badge on the fender, keep the color schemes subtle, and let the engine do the talking. However, the new Road Runner attracted younger buyers, so Chrysler decided to up the visual ante by about a million notches. Enter the M-Code 440+6 Road Runner. A ruby red Aston Martin V12 Vantage at the Concours of the Americas

Aston Martin V12 Vantage Concours of America

The thought of having one of these V12 Vantages with a manual transmission makes me salivate profusely. We caught this intensely red one at the Concours of the Americas in Michigan, and luckily, we were on the grass.

The All-New Lincoln Navigator at the 2017 NYIAS

Lincoln Navigator Concept Front

It’s kind of a shame that no one pays much attention to the big Navigator. What was once the baddest, most blinged-out SUV on the road was quickly overtaken by the Escalade, and rather than keep up, Lincoln merely turned the Navigator into a Ford Expedition wearing a cheap Mens’ Warehouse tuxedo (that was at least a size too small and smelled funny). Luckily, it looks like Ford has decided to make a change to this. As we see here, the new Navigator takes a much more imposing face to do battle in the always-hot luxury SUV market against the new Infiniti QX80, Cadillac Escalade, and Lexus LX-570. Ford has junked the old 5.4L V8 in favor of the well-regarded EcoBoost twin-turbo 3.5L V6, added much larger wheels, and supplied a sumptuous interior. Koenigsegg Agera RS1 at NYIAS

Koenigsegg Agera RS1 8

This is the Koenigsegg Agera RS1, fresh off the boat/plane from Sweden. It’s surely the most magnificent Koenigsegg I’ve ever seen in person, and it’s all because of that stunning blue alcantara interior. The blue really makes the look of the Agera RS1 pop, and gives it that million dollar level of detail people pay the biggest bucks for.

It was incredible laying eyes on this thing in the flesh.

Enjoy!

Ford GT Heritage Edition Spotted in Greenwich, CT

Ford GT Heritage Edition 1

We caught this incredible Ford GT Heritage Edition out in Greenwich, CT. I loved the added touch of its orange wheels that matched its livery. This is the most valuable version of the Ford GT, so it was awesome to see it out in the wild.
