Sir, is that a legal road vehicle? Roadkill: Talk to our lawyers…or maybe don’t.

Roadkill is probably my favorite YouTube show at this point–and even when the post a video on Christmas Day, people still watch it. This time, they take the stock car that’s been hinted at for the entire series on-and-off (which their lawyers refused to let them put on the street for very obvious legal reasons), and make a “street legal” car out of it, by way of using a body with a VIN and a license plate, and dropping it on the chassis. They then take it to a dirt track–but I’m going to say no more so you, dear viewer, can find out what happens.

The new Giulia is probably Alfa Romeo’s most important product launch of the past decade.  Twenty years ago, Alfa left the American market, and for the first time, there’s hope that the brand is back and can compete on a mass-market level with this product. The Giulia shown at L.A. was the top of the line Quadrifoglio series, complete with a snarling V6 (they wouldn’t start it up for me, but we’ve heard it before on spy videos and it does sound great), six-speed manual, and stunning styling. I can’t wait to see this at dealerships, and I can give a full guarantee that I’ll do whatever is necessary to get behind the wheel of one when the chance arises. The History of Packard

Packard was one of the great American luxury car brands in the first half of the 1900s. Many would even dub Packard “the American Rolls Royce” because the two companies shared much in their ideological approach to building the highest quality automobile.

This is a bit of historical glamour for us all to lust over. It’ll have us wishing for Packard to make a comeback someday.

Volkswagen Touareg TDI: The Dieselgate Review

This 2011 Volkswagen Touareg TDI is my dad’s daily driver, and despite us owning it for nearly 5 years now, I’ve yet to do a review on it until now. But with the advent of Dieselgate, which now affects our Touareg, I figured it was time.

In the video I review the Touareg, and how it’s been for our family over the years. Then, with that in mind, I give my take on Dieselgate and what we plan to do as things progress.

I wrote an article on Dieselgate earlier, before the V6 diesel models were affected, but now that our Touareg has been drawn into it, I wanted to do show my take on the full issue on video.

I’ve featured quite a few Chargers here at Mind Over Motor over the years, but I think this one might be the best one I’ve seen over my life. In 1968, Dodge took their Charger fastback coupe and gave it exclusive Coke-bottle styling, a tunneled rear window and grille, hidden headlights, a flip-top gas cap (taken right from the racing circuit), and a mean bumblebee stripe down the back. The Epic Saga of Sir Stirling Moss

Sir Stirling Moss will always be among the most revered racing drivers in history. His story is nothing short of miraculous. He danced with death every time he got in a car, and he’s lived to enjoy his golden years as a hero of the motoring community.

Moss experienced the greatest victory, unfathomable fame, the most beautiful women, the fastest cars, and the most treacherous of wrecks. And through everything he has always kept his hysterical sharp wit and uncompromising sense of class and sportsmanship.

His story is truly remarkable, and I had the honor of seeing Sir Stirling Moss speak a few years back at Lime Rock.

We’re Thankful For Track-Focused Muscle Cars (Camaro Z/28 vs. Mustang Shelby GT-350R)

To celebrate, here’s a video that will make you thankful for track-focused muscle cars. The Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 dropped jaws when it came out a few years back, and now Ford wants to decimate it with their new Mustang Shelby GT-350R.

Jay Leno Drives The Unbelievable Lamborghini LM002

Lambo’s LM002, or the “Rambo Lambo” as it was called, is a totally insane machine that somehow actually got produced.

It’s a Hummer-like military SUV with a supercar’s V12 under the hood. Just listen to the sound it makes!

Whatever fantasy car lists we all have, this should definitely be on it.

The Admiral’s blue Ferrari 500 Mondial

This gorgeous bright blue 1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial is one of very few  4 cylinder Ferrari racing cars ever built. Petrolicious does a magnificent job of featuring the story of this machine and its owner.

We actually had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Admiral Phillips back in 2011 at the Radnor Hunt Concours. He was great, and shared every detail we could imagine with us that day, so it’s awesome seeing him and his 500 Mondial now in a feature film like this.
